We’ve selected a few highlights and latest arrivals below, and the full catalogue can be found at eil.com

Sonny Clark Leapin' And Lopin' vinyl LP album (LP record) US SO3LPLE777389

SONNY CLARK Leapin’ And Lopin’ (Very rare FIRST ISSUE 1962 US 6-track MONO vinyl LP on the ‘New York USA’ perimeter text Blue note label with ‘RVG’ stamped & ‘ear’ mark [present only on the first pressing] in the dead wax, front laminated pasted picture sleeve with company catalogue inner. The sleeve has three areas of paper loss to the unlaminated reverse; one in a blank area, just under the catalogue number with no impact to any text, the second is between the second & third paragraphs on the third column, with some lost text, the final area is on the ‘Users of Wide Range Equipment…’ recommendation to the bottom, also with lost text. That’s the bad news out of the way; the front shows very little sign of wear and still shines brightly. The labels have a little spindle wear and the vinyl shows very little sign of play, leaving it an easy Excellent and reaching higher perhaps. A very hard record to locate at the best of times, this copy would be a tough one to beat on the vinyl grading! BLP4091).

Thelonious Monk The Riverside Tenor Sessions - Numbered Vinyl Box Set US TM4VXTH773398

THELONIOUS MONK The Riverside Tenor Sessions (Fantastic 1998 US limited edition audiophile SEVEN LP boxed set with each album in its own reproduction of the original sleeve artwork, complete with insert and amazing 24-page full size illustrated booklet which is individually hand numbered 1950 inside the back, all housed in a high quality silver embossed lettering textured picture box. The box shows negligible shelf wear and the contents are immaculate – an outstanding ‘near as new’ example APJ037)

Jef Gilson Malagasy At Newport-Paris + 'Palm Journal' vinyl LP album (LP record) French KQFLPMA738780

MALAGASY & GILSON At Newport-Paris (Archive Quality Ethnic Jazz 1973 French-only private press 9-track vinyl LP on Jef Gilson’s own Palm label, recorded in a St-Germain-des-Prés nightclub with musicians from Antananarivo. In the late sixties, Jef’s musical explorations led him to the ex-French colony of Madagascar, the island just off the south eastern coast of Africa. Re-released by Jazzman Records in recent years, the album documents an incredible ethno-jazz sound as & when it was released, with instruments including the valiha [a Madagascan harp on bambo], the ondioline and exotic percussion mixed with modal jazz! Recently acquired from a private dealer in Paris, here we have a stunning archive copy from the vaults, complete with original four-page ‘Palm Journal’ press release in French. The front laminated picture sleeve is Near Mint with merely the lightest evidence of natural age wear and the vinyl remains in near ‘as new’ condition – Recommended! PALM5).
