Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Foo Fighters, Mike Oldfield, PJ Harvey and more

The advent of CD’s seemed like the death knell for vinyl during the ‘90s. That was only made worse by file sharing becoming popular as the decade came to a close and edged into the early ‘00s. We now know that vinyl would have an unprecedented resurgence in later years, which has led to collectors desperately seeking out original pressings from the ‘90s. Those rare Creation records pressings that shaped alternative music as we know it today, the rare pressings of iconic grunge records that are white whales for many, and weird and wonderful electronic music are always popular with completists.

Finding original ‘90s pressings is hard for anyone, ourselves included, but it does happen, and we have great stock of some rarities over at eil.com now.

Foo Fighters Foo Fighters vinyl LP album (LP record) UK FOOLPFO51851

FOO FIGHTERS Foo Fighters (Rare 1995 UK limited edition 12-track vinyl LP, the brilliant debut album from Dave Grohl’s post-Nirvana project, including This Is A Call and For All The Cows; complete with the picture / credit inner and matt picture sleeve. The sleeve displays minimal wear, whilst the vinyl remains excellent with a few hairline surface scuffs EST2266).

Mike Oldfield The Songs Of Distant Earth vinyl LP album (LP record) German OLDLPTH198061

MIKE OLDFIELD The Songs Of Distant Earth (Rare 1994 German 17-track LP based on Arthur C. Clarke’s science fiction novel, great cosmic picture sleeve. The cover is in superb condition showing little if any signs of age & whilst the vinyl looks near mint with minimal sign of play – A remarkable copy of this legendary ‘lost’ 90’s vinyl album!).

P.J. Harvey Dry vinyl LP album (LP record) German PJHLPDR767923

P.J. HARVEY Dry (Rare 1992 German issue 11-track vinyl LP, with picture sleeve and credits inner. Classic debut from PJ Harvey which is a stunning outpouring on British femininity & angular indie-rock recorded at a tiny studio in Yeovil, Somerset. The sleeve shows just a little mild edge wear while the vinyl itself displays little evidence play and remains in excellent condition. This is the first copy of the German pressing we have ever seen here and a hard to find 90s pressing in any condition. Highly recommended).
