Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Aphex Twin, Autechre, Goo Goo Dolls and more

While music was more popular during the 90’s than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes almost obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices. We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock and be sure to keep an eye on the latest arrivals at eil.com.

APHEX TWIN Classics (Rare 1995 Belgium limited edition 13-track 2-LP set pressed on Aquamarine Vinyl, featuring a collection of his groundbreaking recordings including ‘Analogue Bubblebath 1’ and ‘Digeridoo’, plus remixes of ‘We Have Arrived’ and ‘Digeridoo’ performed live in Cornwall 1990, gatefold picture sleeve. The sleeve is graded VG with a small split to the top edge, a sticker mark and light shelfwear overall, the vinyl grades Excellent with only very minor signs of play RS95035).

AUTECHRE LP5 (1998 UK 11-track double vinyl LP, textured die-cut single pocket embossed picture sleeve with rounded corner inner sleeves. For their fifth release [actually untitled but usually referred to as ‘LP5’] Rob Brown and Sean Booth delivered another landmark electronica release with their trademark super-complex rhythms, tempo changes and all manner of sonic blips and glitches throughout – a must! The sleeve shows just a little light wear and the vinyl grades EX/EX- with just some light hairlines not affecting play WARPLP66).

GOO GOO DOLLS Hold Me Up (1990 UK 14-track LP, John Rzeznik’s first album as vocalist, includes the single There You Are, picture sleeve with lyric inner. The sleeve shows minimal wear and the vinyl appears barely played AFTER8).
