Fireball XL5, Rawhead Rex, Aliens and more rare and collectable soundtracks now in stock

A score or soundtrack can be just as important as the movie you are watching. It helps set the tone and tenor for a movie, be it a meticulously crafted score or a collection of songs the fit the imagery as it unfolds. The soundtrack world is a big part of the record collecting community, too, and collectors are always on the hunt for rare and unusual soundtracks.

We have a wide range of soundtracks currently in stock, and below are just a few highlights to give you an idea of what’s available at

BARRY GRAY Fireball XL5 (2021 UK limited edition 24-track 2-LP pressed on Translucent Orange Vinyl, the soundtrack to the 1962 series Fireball XL5. Set in 2062 the series followed the exploits of the eponymous spaceship commanded by Colonel Steve Zodiac of the World Space Patrol. Composer Barry Gray’s jazzy style is supplemented by the use of an electronically augmented keyboard, the Ondes Martenot, creating the other-worldly atmosphere which became synonymous with the sci-fi series. This fourth LP in the ongoing series follows Supercar, UFO and of course, Thunderbirds. Gatefold picture sleeve SILLP1595).

ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK Rawhead Rex (2021 UK limited edition 15-track 2-LP on Silva Screen Records, the score album for the 1986 horror movie pressed on Stained Glass Red Vinyl. Penned by composer Colin Towns,Rawhead Rex is a nuanced and lush horror score from a hugely talented composer at his best. Based on a short story by Clive Barker (Hellraiser), the Demon, alive for millennia and trapped in the depths of hell, is unleashed on a sleepy local farming community and the only one that can stop Rawhead’s bloody rampage is the historian, desperately racing against time! Housed in a gatefold picture sleeve, a first time release for this long-awaited soundtrack!).

ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK Aliens (1986 UK 9-track vinyl LP featuring music composed & conducted by James Horner for the James Cameron movie, perfomed by the London Symphony Orchestra, picture sleeve. The sleeve shows a little shelfwear with a bit ofedge scuffing but the vinyl remains in wonderful condition with few signs of play TER1115).
