While music was more popular during the 90’s than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes almost obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.
We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock and be sure to keep an eye on the latest arrivals at eil.com.
U2 Pop (1997 UK limited edition 12-track double LP, including the hit singles Discotheque and Staring At The Sun, complete with picture inners and lyric insert, song hype stickered Warhol-style gatefold picture sleeve. The sleeve shows some general shelfwear with a bit of edge scuffing & the vinyl remains in excellent condition with few signs of play U210).
PJ HARVEY 4-Track Demos (Scarce 1993 UK 14-track vinyl LP including the original ‘4-Track’ demos for the Rid Of Me album plus six then-new songs; housed in a hype-sticker picture sleeve with credits printed inner. The sleeve displats some light general wear while the vinyl appears in Excellent condition with only very light paper scuffs. A really nice example of this hard to find original pressing ILPM2079).
PRINCE The Hits 1 (Scarce 1993 German 18-track double vinyl compilation LP including classic hits such as When Doves Cry, When You Were Mine, Let’s Go Crazy, 1999, Diamonds And Pearls, his original version of Nothing Compares 2 U and more. Single-pocket picture sleeve with inners).
