JAZZ Vinyl & CDs at eil.com this week includes Marsupilami, Brian Auger, Nucleus and more

Jazz is one of the most influential, timeless and enduring genres in music. The structuring and songwriting styles from jazz has been used in other genres such as rock, metal, hip hop and funk throughout the years. It can range from subtle and relaxing, to eclectic free jazz freakouts and has something for every music fan. We scour collections to find both iconic releases and rare obscurities to give our customers a wide range to choose from.

The three highlights we have picked out below are just the tip of the iceberg from our selection, which can be viewed in full over at eil.com

MARSUPILAMI Marsupilami (Rare 1970 UK 6-track vinyl LP on the Transatlantic Records label, the debut album from the progressive rock band from Taunton, UK. The MacNeill Press Ltd printed textured picture sleeve is in a really nice condition, with just one very light crease and minimal wear to the edges. The labels are very clean with only a couple of very light spindle marks present, and the vinyl is very clean, showing minimal signs of play. A fantastic example and only the second copy we have ever seen! TRA213).

Brian Auger Green Onions '65 7" vinyl single (7 inch record / 45) UK AUG07GR814782

THE BRIAN AUGER TRINITY Green Onions ’65 (Rare 1965 UK 7″ vinyl single with intact four prong centre, a single release from the super cool jazz band leader, also including ‘KIKO’. Issued in a COLUMBIA company die-cut paper sleeve, the vinyl appears barely played. A Freakbeat Banger! DB7715).

Nucleus We'll Talk About It Later - 1st - EX vinyl LP album (LP record) UK NCULPWE708324

NUCLEUS We’ll Talk About It Later (1971 UK first issue 7-track stereo vinyl LP on the large Vertigo ‘swirl’ label, featuring Ian Carr & co’s response to Miles Davis’ pioneering electric jazz / fusion coming from across the pond at the time. The superb die-cut internal pocket gatefold picture sleeve [designed by Roger Dean] comes with its Vertigo ‘swirl’ poly-lined inner and shows some light edge scuffing to the edges as well as some shelfwear to the spine [EX/VG] while the vinyl [EX+]itself remains in lovely condition with only minimal signs of play visible to show for its age!).
