While music was more popular during the 90’s than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes almost obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.
We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock and be sure to keep an eye on the latest arrivals at eil.com.
PEARL JAM Ten (1991 UK Dutch-pressed UK 11-track vinyl LP, the debut from the grunge band including Alive, Jeremy, Oceans & Even Flow, glossy picture sleeve shows with lyric inner. The sleeve displays some light wear mostly to the edges, the labels displays a few spindle marks to show it has been played, however the vinyl has only a few light paper scuffs, overall an Excellent example of this classic 90’s pressed vinyl).
CROWDED HOUSE Together Alone (1993 UK 13-track LP produced by Youth & mixed by Bob Clearmountain in Melbourne & London, with illustrated lyric inner & glossy picture sleeve. The sleeve retains its original hype sticker and displays only lightwear, whilst the vinyl looks seldom played, overall an excellent example).
BLACK CROWES The Southern Harmony & Musical Companion (1992 Dutch first press 10-track LP, including the hit singles Sting Me & Remedy, glossy picture sleeve with illustrated lyric inner. The sleeve shows some edgewear & the vinyl is in Excellent condition with merely a few faint paper scuffs in no way affecting play. A great example!).
