Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Depeche Mode, Gene, Tom Waits and more

Every era of music has its traits, tropes, and fashion that helps definite it, and the ‘90s were no exception. The grunge, hip hop, dance, pop, indie and alternative scenes all had their own unique styles during this time, many of which are still prevalent in pop culture today. The music from ‘90s will live forever but tracking down original vinyl pressings is no easy feat, but it happens.

It would take an age to list everything here that we have in stock from the ‘90s, but you can see some highlights below and find the rest of our catalogue at eil.com.

Gene Olympian + Booklet - EX vinyl LP album (LP record) UK G-ELPOL773825

GENE Olympian (Limited Edition 1995 UK 11-track LP, housed in a fully textured & deluxe picture sleeve with the hype sticker attached, complete with the bonus LP-sized picture/lyric booklet printed on high quality textured card as well as the ‘GENE-LP 1’ plain inner & the mailing insert. The sleeve is Excellent to Near Mint with minimal edge wear, the vinyl too is Excellent to Near Mint with few signs of play GENE1LP).

Depeche Mode Violator vinyl LP album (LP record) UK DEPLPVI207857

DEPECHE MODE Violator (1990 UK 9-track vinyl LP, including the hit singles Personal Jesus & Enjoy The Silence, picture sleeve with card lyric inner. The sleeve shows minimal wear and, apart from the odd cosmetic surface scuff, the vinyl appears unplayed. A fantastic near mint example STUMM64).

Tom Waits Bone Machine - 1st vinyl LP album (LP record) UK TMWLPBO60511

TOM WAITS Bone Machine (Original 1992 UK 16-track LP, including numbers like Earth Died Screaming, Dirt In The Ground, All Stripped Down & Murder In The Red Barn, this was Wait’s first album of the nineties, earning a Grammy Award for best alternative record that year. Expect creepy, bare-bones production throughout, recorded in a room in the cellar area of prairie Sun Recording studios north of San Francisco [described by Waits as “just a cement floor & a hot water heater”], with steampunk-sounds, industrial thuds & skeletal rhythms [some tracks ended up being used in films such as 12 Monkeys & Fight Club!]… an intense listen & a standout in the Waits back catalogue. The picture sleeve is lightly textured & appears Near Mint with minimal shelf wear, complete with the lyric inner. The vinyl is Excellent to Near Mint revealing just a few faint paper scuffs not affecting play. A nice one owner copy bought from new ILPS9993).
