Jazz has played a vital part in the history of music since it began, and even if you don’t know it, it has probably influenced the music you listen to today. From the greats such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Dizzy Gillespie to the underrated genius of Duke Pearson and Sam Rivers, we pride ourselves on having a fine selection of jazz records for our customers.
We’ve selected a few highlights and latest arrivals below, and the full catalogue can be found at eil.com
GIL SCOTT-HERON Pieces Of A Man (2014 UK limited edition 11-track vinyl LP, originally released in 1971, including the epic ‘The Revolution Will Not Be Televised’, presented in a sealed gatefold sleeve HIQLP007).
METAMORFOSIS Papallones I Elefants (1982 Spanish AUTOGRAPHED 5-track vinyl LP – the first and only album by the instrumental prog fusion quintet, fully laminated picture sleeve with pinched spine and Spanish titles/credits on the reverse plus picture/credits insert. The sleeve has some light edgewear and the vinyl shows a few light surface scuffs. The front of the sleeve has been signed by Luis, Joan and Jaume – with a dedicated in Spanish – in black ballpoint pen LPS-8209).
PATRICIA BARBER Cafe Blue (2020 Impex Records 1STEP Process 180g 45RPM 2-LP pressed on VR900-Supreme Vinyl, cut from original Analog Masters by Kevin Gray at CoHearent Audio. Café Blue is the album that best personifies Patricia Barber’s genius. Spare, turbulent, quirky, and slyly humorous, there is no other jazz masterwork quite like it. Strictly limited to 5000 numbered pressings, factory sealed from new inside its cloth-bound slipcase, with picture hype sticker intact. Incredible!).
