It’s strange to think that out there in the world there are U2 branded disco balls, miniature toy cars emblazoned with Madonna’s logo, or even prophylactics from dutch metal band, Hammerfall. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the memorabilia that record companies have produced to help promote artists on their roster, and if you are looking for that interesting piece to add to your collection then you have come to the right place.
We’ve picked out a few of the rare and interesting highlights we have in stock, and you can find the full catalogue of what’s available over at eil.com
THE BEATLES Exclusive! The Beatles Starring In A Hard Day’s Night (1964 UK 8″ x 11.5″ 36-page softback book / magazine, featuring a foreward by the boys, behind-the-scenes stories about the movie and a plethora of black & white photographs from the filming. The cover shows light wear and all the pages are secure with a minimum of age-yellowing – a superb copy!).
HAWKWIND Autographs (From circa 1980 and the Levitation period of the band, we have a page of lined paper which has been folded in four. Nothing special so far, we know, but this has been signed by the touring line-up of Huw Lloyd-Langton, Harvey Bainbridge and Ginger Baker all in blue point pen, and Dave Brock in red. But hang on, we haven’t finished yet. The same line-up has signed the same bit of paper twice, we don’t know why but would sure make a unique display item).
OCEAN COLOUR SCENE Moseley Shoals (Scarce official 2016 UK Strictly Limited Edition 18-page tour programme which was produced and issued exclusively during the dates of their 20th Anniversary tour celebrating the release of their classic album ‘Moseley Shoals’. Packed with vintage images from the album era and quotes and those affiliated with the band during the time [with words by Paul Weller printed on the back], the programme remains in fantastic near ‘as new’ condition. Additionally, this copy is one of the first 100 to be sold during one of the tour dates which were AUTOGRAPHED by the remaining trio of Simon Fower, Steve Craddock and Oscar Harrison!).
