13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS Music Of The Spheres (Incredible 2011 UK limited edition remastered EIGHT LP and 1 x 10″ Vinyl boxset. This stunning set is surely the ultimate for the psychedelic afficiando – so what do you get for your money? You get the legendary debut album ‘Psychedelic Sounds Of’ expanded to a double vinyl set featuring both mono and stereo mixes, ‘Easter Everywhere’, again in mono and stereo mixes, ‘Bull Of The Woods’ now expanded to include a set of contemporaneous raresingles and b-sides, a previously unreleased 11-track album entitled ‘The Contact Sessions’ which features completely different set of mixes of tracks from the first album and a previously unreleased live set [recorded under the influence of LSD!], phew! Added to this is a wonderful 6-track 10″, designed to recreate the original ‘Sumet Sounds’ acetate. The packaging is also of the same high calibre, all LPs are housed inside a 12″ x 12″ box with lift off lid and trippy lenticular image, a superb 12″ x 12″ 44-page book, three 8″ x 8″ lenticular prints of the first three albums sleeves – and as a neat final touch a numbered certificate. Remarkably, the box is still sealed ‘as new’ within its original shrinkwrap with all vinyl discs UNPLAYED. A superb set, that is a must for any 13th Floor Elevators collector! IA16).
SEX PISTOLS Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols (2012 UK Super Deluxe Edition 5-disc MULTI-FORMAT BoxSet – As one of the most iconic and influential albums in music history ‘Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols’ still sounds as powerful and unique as ever. To celebrate its 35th anniversary, this release has used the original master tapes from the 1977 recording sessions thought to be lost for many years. Now thankfully rediscovered, the tapes have been remastered, for the very first time, by Tim Young under direction from original producer Chris Thomas. This stunning boxset includes the newly remastered album, alongside a collecion of remastered studio rarities & B-Sides and 20 live recordings [the majority of which are previously unreleased]; plus a Bonus DVD produced by Julien Temple featuring a wealth of previously unseen performances plus extras including a newly created video for ‘Holidays In The Sun’, single videos and explicit un-edited radio interviews and a Bonus Replica 7″ Single of the withdrawn ‘God Save The Queen’ A&M single. Housed in deluxe packaging complete with a stunning authorised hardback 100 page 12″ x 12″ diary with quotes, rare and previously unseen photos, memorabilia and more, a 3ft by 4.5ft Never Mind The Bollocks replica promo poster, reproductions of the original Never Mind The Bollocks promo stickers and a copy of the original handwritten lyrics to ‘God Save The Queen’. Both the box and contents on this copy remain in superb condition. Essential for any Sex Pistols fan).
STEVEN WILSON Index – The Art Of Steven Wilson’s Music (Scarce 2015 UK limited deluxe edition 240 Page hardback book by Lasse Hoile & Carl Glover, featuring 340 photographs with 178 previously unseen images, illustrating the visual side of hisalbums covering the period from Porcupine Tree’s 2002 album In Absentia right up to my most recent (and probably most visually ambitious) album Hand. Cannot. Erase., as well as his other projects no-man, Blackfield, IEM, Bass Communion, and Continuum. This edition was released to coincide with two concerts at the Royal Albert Hall on 28/29th September, cloth bound in the RAH colours of Red cover with gold embossed text. This example remains in a fantastic condition, and includes a postcard which has been signed by the photographer & authors Lasse Hoile & Carl Glover in a blue or black pen, along with a ticket stub for the shows on the 29th September)
