From Loudersound.
The Zappa Trust has revealed that two Frank Zappa books will be published later this year.
The first is titled Zappa Gear: The Unique Guitars, Amplifiers, Effects Units, Keyboards And Studio Equipment by Mick Ekers, which will also feature a foreword by Dweezil Zappa.
It’ll offer the reader “an unprecedented inside look at the machinery behind the legendary music. In addition to a detailed presentation of the equipment, Zappa Gear also introduces some of the pioneering inventors, engineers, and entrepreneurs without whom the instruments would not exist.”
Zappa Gear will also include illustrations and more than 180 pictures of Zappa’s guitars and equipment.
It’ll be released on November 15 through the Hal Leonard Corporation.

FRANK ZAPPA We're Only In It For The Money (1968 UK first issue 18-track mono LP with 'Sold in The UK' label text, a particularly tough pressing to find, featuring track separated sides and the 'heavily censored' version of the album, superb reverse Sgt. Pepper parody fully laminated internal flipback gatefold picture sleeve. The sleeve shows creasing/discolouration to the edges & spine, the faint remains of a name to inside flipback, still with a decent sheen even after fifty years whilst the vinyl is graded VG+ with light hairlines on playing surface. A very acceptable play copy of this superb album VLP9199)

FRANK ZAPPA Lumpy Gravy (1968 US promotional two-part vinyl LP on the black & yellow Verve label, effectively Zappa's debut solo record, as performed by a group of session players he dubbed the Abnuceals Emuukha Electric Symphony Orchestra, gatefold picture sleeve. THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION Absolutely Free (1967 UK 13-track stereo LP, housed in a unique front laminated flipback sleeve with the album art at ninety degrees to the gatefold version & with the tracklisting & Mike Raven poem on the back. The sleeve [VG+] reveals some light ageing with some faint discolouration to the reverse whilst the vinyl is clean & grades VG/VG+ with several light paper hairline scuffs not affecting play. Still a great copy of an early Zappa classic SVLP9174)
