Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Ian Brown, Arab Strap, Oasis and more

For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker’s stage invasion during Michael Jackson’s performance at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock, and be sure to keep an eye on our latest arrivals.

Ian Brown – Golden Greats: 1999 UK limited edition 10-track GOLD vinyl LP including Love Like A Fountain and Dolphins Were Monkeys, stickered picture sleeve, lyric inner and huge 28″ x 18″ double sided poster featuring the album sleeve image on one side and the Love Like A Fountain single artowrk on the other. The sleeve, vinyl and poster are all in wonderful ‘as new’ condition

Oasis – Be Here Now: 1997 UK limited edition 12-track double LP, including Stand By Me and All Around The World, complete with illustrated lyric inners and heavyweight gatefold picture sleeve. The sleeve displays minimal shelfwear & the vinyl looks barely played

Arab Strap – Philophoria: Rare 1998 UK 13-track 2-LP vinyl set, single pocket glossy picture sleeve with inners. Classic second longplayer from the Scottish indie duo, it’s a discussion of love/sex and relationships [in no particular order btw!], with Aiden Moffat’s brutally frank spoken verse alongside Malcolm Middelton’s sympathetic accompaniment. The sleeve shows very little wear and the vinyl is in Excellent condition with just the odd light hairline to indicate play
