The Hawklords are back, well they’ve never really gone away. Dave Brock and the boys who pioneered the space/psych rock movement have been releasing records since the dawn of rock music.
We’re honoured to find Hawkwind collectables that have somehow survived especially like this special batch of rare Japanese, promo, signed items and tour souvenirs plus a rare test pressing to boot!
HAWKWIND Hurry On Sundown – Amazing 1970 UK Stock Copy of the incredibly rare first Hawks 7″ vinyl single, a Holy Grail gem, with a solid centre, also including Mirror Of Illusion, Liberty company die-cut paper sleeve. This fantastic copy remains in excellent condition with only light signs of play (well wouldn’t you play this?), we have play tested and it still sounds brilliant. A nice example and the solid centre version we have ever had!
HAWKWIND Signed Photograph – If you love Hawkwind, then this might be an item you would like to own. What we have here is a 10″ x 8″ black & white photograph of the band from the early 1970s with Lemmy proudly sitting at the front. Now fast forward thirty years, this has been boldly signed by Dave Brock, Huw Lloyd-Langton and Alan Davey across the front in a black marker pen. These signatures were acquired circa 2002 whilst the band were touring with Arthur Brown on vocals, sadly Huw died in 2005 from cancer. A nice item and ideal for framing.
HAWKWIND Lord Of Light – Rare 1973 German wide centred 7″ single, featuring the edited version remixed by Peter Kramper & Stefan Michel [Amon Duul] & the edited live version of Born To Go recorded at the Roundhouse in 1972 – NOT the ‘Space Ritual’ version – complete with the original ‘Lord Of Lihgt’ mis-spelt picture sleeve. The flimsy paper sleeve [VG] has some inevitable creasing from ring wear and a small split in the top right corner, whilst the vinyl remains excellent with just afew faint hairlines not affecting play. For a forty five year old Hawkwind single, this is something – get it while you can!
