Celebrate the first ever National Album day on Saturday October 13th

Saturday October 13 will see music lovers celebrate the album format as part of the first ever National Album Day.

At 3:33pm the organisers of National Album Day invite listeners to the nations biggest album playback by putting on their favourite album in full. Those taking part can share their choices with @AlbumDayUK and #NationalAlbumDay.

Full details of the event can be found on the National Album Day website, including some history of the album format, the biggest albums of all time as voted for by BBC Radio 2, the albums listeners love to drive to, and many other interesting facts about the album.
