John Carpenter has announced he will be releasing the score to the upcoming Halloween movie this October.
Carpenter directed the original movie in 1978, which also saw him pen the iconic, 5/4 timing theme. The soundtrack to the new installment of the franchise – which ignores all the events after the original, and looks set to be a horror spectacular this autumn – has been put together along with Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davis, and is said to be updated, while paying homage to the original theme.
It is due for release on October 19 through Sacred Bones Records, and is available in a whole host of various colours. You can see at teaser for the soundtrack below.
