MILES DAVIS In A Silent Way: Late 70s UK issue of the classic 1969 sound painting LP on a graduated orange CBS label, produced by Teo Marceo & starring a fittingly stunning array of musicians, including Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, Dave Holland, Joe Zawinul, John McLaughlin & Tony Williams. CLIFFORD BROWN Memorial Album: 1956 US first press 10-track Deep Groove Mono vinyl LP on the ‘Lexington Ave’ address Blue Note label, with no ‘r’ in ‘Note’ & the ‘ear’ & ‘RVG’ etchings in both run-outs. This is one of the holy grails of Blue Note collecting. Don’t waste your time trying to find a mint one (they don’t exist!), buy a cheaper alternative & marvel at the sound quality. This beats any CD version hands down & the disc has been professionally cleaned & play graded. More info here
