JACKIE MCLEAN Tippin’ The Scales: Rare & deleted limited edition 1979 Japanese-only 6-track stereo LP, manufactured exclusively by King Records in the ‘World First Appearance’ series. Contains a previously unreleased session recorded with Sonny Clark, Butch Warren and Art Taylor in 1962. Comes in a pasted picture sleeve with Japanese insert and ‘Blue Note’ logo obi-strip. BLUE NOTE The Best Of Blue Note Records: 2009 Polish strictly limited edition set of 20 CD albums issued in conjunction with EMI Music Poland and ‘Biblioteka Polityka’ magazine to celebrate the 70th Aniversary of the label, comprising classic albums for Blue Note ranging from John Coltrane’s ‘Blue Train’ up to Dianne Reeves’ ‘I Remember’. All CDs remain sealed and are housed in the very rare promotional-only slipcase box which also remains sealed. More info here

ART PEPPER The Art Pepper Quartet: 1958 US 7-track second issue black vinyl mono LP on the magenta Tampa label, also featuring Russ Freeman on piano, Ben Tucker on bass & Gary Frommer on Drums, front pasted picture sleeve. Recorded in a rare moment in the fifties when he was not in Jail, you can see even in these early sessions that whatever his personal problems, he projected soul whenever he played, as perfected in his mid seventies comeback albums after a long period in rehab, more info here
