SONNY STITT The Champ: 1974 US 6-track LP, also featuring Joe Newman (trumpet), Duke Jordan (piano), Sam Jones (bass) & Roy Brooks (drums), pasted picture sleeve. VARIOUS Message From The Tribe – An Anthology Of Tribe Records: 1972-1976: Limited Edition 1996 UK first press 10-track double vinyl LP anthology, gathering some of the most sought after underground Jazz & Funk from the rare back catalogue of the seventies Detroit label, Tribe Records, a focal point for a collective of musicians that included Wendell Harrison, Phil Ranelin, Marcus Belgrave & other future jazz messengers of the city that followed the vision of Sun Ra. There are some SERIOUS groovesto be had here, picture sleeve complete with the 32-page Tribe Magazine & credits insert, more info here

SONNY ROLLINS The Sound Of Sonny: Rare 1961 UK issue of the 1957 9-track mono vinyl LP on the white ‘reels & mic’ Riverside label, also featuring Sonny Clark on Piano, Percy Heath or Paul Chambers on Bass & Roy Haynes on Drums, US manufacturedpasted picture sleeve. So often found with splits and tears to the seams, this sleeve shows just a little wear along the spine, which even so remains clearly and fully readable. The vinyl is spectacular and shows little sign of play. An amazing copy of this landmark album. More info here
