It isn’t always the cheapest passion to have but being a record collector means you are often prepared to put your hand your pocked for that one-off rarity you’ve always wanted. Its worth it, because some records and rarities don’t always appear on the market, but you can bet that when they do, we will have them and can help you get them in your collection.
Take a look at some of the premium highlights we’ve got in stock below, and the full range can be seen on eil.com.
DR STRANGELY STRANGE Heavy Petting (Rare 1970 UK 11-track stereo LP on a Vertigo ‘swirl’ label, the group’s second longplayer expertly produced by the great Joe Boyd. Housed in a unique, unusual fold-out die-cut picture sleeve with lyrics scattered about on the inside and the reverse. A beautiful item for Vertigo collectors and fans of the ‘Strangely Strange’, the sleeve, so often torn reveals just the very lightest of edge wear with some faint residue to the front cover. Despite having a mis-aligned label o one side, the vinyl displays just a couple of light hairlines, housed in its original ‘swirl’ inner! An incredible copy we’re unlikely to see again any time soon…).
THE BEATLES Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967 UK first press 13-track mono vinyl LP on the black & yellow Parlophone label with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ & ‘Sold In The UK’ text, complete with red ‘flame’ inner & intact sheet of cut-outs, fully laminated internal flipback gatefold picture sleeve PMC7027)
LED ZEPPELIN Led Zeppelin III (Rare 1970 UK first press 10-track stereo vinyl LP on the plum & red Atlantic label with Peter Grant label credit, ‘Do What Thou Wilt’ & ‘So Mote It Be’ hand-scratched into the vinyl run off areas & fully laminated die-cut gatefold picture sleeve with working rotating wheel)
