Art Pepper – Picture Of Heath: Rare 1961 US 7-track deep groove mono LP on a black & silver Pacific Jazz label, the classic meeting between the two giants of the West Coast ‘cool school’, first released in 1956 under the title Playboys. Also features the talents of Phil Urso on Tenor, Carl Perkins on Piano, Curtis Counce on Bass & Lawrence Marable on Drums, great picture sleeve variant. The heavy card sleeve has a 6″ hairline split along the top which has been neatly tape reinforced, & the panels are in Excellent condition with no writing or wear that upsets the print. The vinyl appears practically Near Mint with minimal sign of play at all
Pentangle – The Pentangle: Rare 1968 UK first issue 8-track stereo debut LP on the purple & white ‘globe’ label, a classic British folk record, fully laminated picture sleeve with the ‘floating’ style laminate & printed with album notes from an enthusiastic John Peel on the reverse. The sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear with some creasing to one corner & a little laminate lift at the spine but remains very respectable. The vinyl remains in excellent condition with few signs ofplay
John Surman – Tales Of The Algonquin: Rare original 1971 UK red & white Deram label 9-track LP, the baritone saxophonist’s last album for Deram comprised of a suite of 5 tracks, all played by a large stellar cast, with many expertlyrealised solos from some of the best British jazz modernists of the 60’s, including Mike Osborne, Barre Phillips, Kenny Wheeler, Alan Skidmore and many others, matt picture sleeve with vintage Dobells price sticker to the reverse. The sleeve& vinyl appear Near Mint
