A new box set, of John Lee Hooker’s music title King Of The Boogie is being released on September 29, which would have been the 100th birthday of the legendary blues musician.
The five-disc set will cover Hooker’s illustrious career, including greatest hits, live tracks, collaborations, rarities, and even some previously unreleased material. The unreleased tracks include studio recordings of Unfriendly Woman, When I Lay My Burden Down, and Meat Shakes On Her Bone, along with live renditions of ‘She’s Gone’, ‘It Serves Me Right to Suffer’, ‘Boom Boom’, ‘Hi-Heel Sneakers’, and ‘One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer’.
