After the enormous success at the BAFTAs, the double LP vinyl soundtrack to Aejandro G Inarritu’s The Revenant is issued on Friday.
The score — which was mostly written and performed by Sakamoto, with additional music from Alva Noto and The National’s Bryce Dessner — is brooding and slow-moving, evoking the bleak and desolate landscape of the American west in winter.
