PEARL JAM Ten (2009 issue UK ‘Super Deluxe Collectors Edition’ Multi-Format box set – Originally released in 1991, Pearl Jam’s debut album, ‘Ten’, is their most successful album. This Collectors edition comprises the original 11-track album digitally remastered and newly mixed by Brendan O’Brien, featuring the classic singles ‘Alive’, ‘Jeremy’ & ‘Even Flow’, alongside 6 Bonus Recordings including previously unreleased versions of
‘Brother’, ‘Just A Girl’, ‘State Of Love And Trust’, ‘2,000 Mile Blues’ & ‘Evil Little Goat’; a Bonus Region 0 NTSC DVD capturing their 7-track MTV unplugged performance; the 22-track [digitally remastered and mixed] album pressed on 2-LPs with an additional ‘Drop in the Park’ 2-LP set including live recordings of their live performance at Magnuson Park, Seattle on September 20th 1992. STATUS QUO Picturesque Matchstickable Messages From The Status Quo (Impossibly rare DEBUT album from one of the world’s best known rock bands, here in their first psychedelic incarnation, which they were soon to discard in favour of their morefamiliar sound as the album failed to chart and the follow-up Spare Parts fared as badly. The acid-induced sound makes some good use of phasing and psychedelic whimsy vocals to give a very definite 1967-68 sound. The album includes covers of Spicks And Specks and Green Tambourine as well as the original standout tracks Black Veils Of Melancholy and Technicolor Dreams as well as the well known Pictures Of Matchstick Men, front laminated flipback picture sleeve. The sleeve shows moderate general discolouration, mainly to the back, with the front showing just a little creasing at the edges but nothing interfering with the images & the colours still bright & vibrant. The vinyl is graded as VG & has been professionally cleaned & play tested; the surface area of the vinyl has a fair degree of scuffs and light hairlines with the labels showing a degree of spindle wear, all of which result in moderate ambient noise in places, although nothing to overpower the playback)
