Jazz is one of the most influential, timeless and enduring genres in music. The structuring and songwriting styles from jazz has been used in other genres such as rock, metal, hip hop and funk throughout the years. It can range from subtle and relaxing, to eclectic free jazz freakouts and has something for every music fan. We scour collections to find both iconic releases and rare obscurities to give our customers a wide range to choose from.
The three highlights we have picked out below are just the tip of the iceberg from our selection, which can be viewed in full over at eil.com
COLOSSEUM Valentyne Suite – Paper Sleeve Collection (Rare 2016 Japanese exclusive limited edition remastered Four Blu-Spec CD [an audio Compact Disc format using Blu-Ray technology and playable on all CD players] set, including the albums Those Who Are About To Die Salute You, Valentyne Suite, Daughter Of Time and Colosseum Live, with a bonus recording on each album. Each within their own mini LP-style card wallet picture sleeve, replicating the original LP release, with a fold-out Japanese/English lyric sheet and obi-strip. All housed in a very collectable glossy picture card box featuring the artwork for the ‘Valentyne Suite’ album. This box was only available to Japanese customs who purchased all four albums from Disk Union at the time of their release, now a very hard to find and highly collectable item).
DUNCAN BROWNE Give Me Take You (Rare 1968 UK 12-track vinyl LP, produced by Andrew Loog Oldham and widely acknowledged as a genuine UK baroque pop/psychedelic folk classic, matt flipback picture sleeve complete with lyric insert. The sleeve design is one prone to wear and this copy is no exception; there is a name annotation to the bottom left with noticeable ringwear and a 2″ split along the flipback on the reverse and the insert shows few signs of wear, leaving this example VG-;there is a name annotation to one label and a small spot of discolouration with little sign of spindle wear. The vinyl is where this copy scores big with barely a sign of play, leaving it somewhere between Excellent and Near Mint – a real game of two halves! IMSP018)).
CURTIS JONES Now Resident In Europe (1968 UK 11-track Mono LP, produced by Mike Vernon, front laminated picture sleeve. The sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear & the vinyl is flawless).
