The advent of CD’s seemed like the death knell for vinyl during the ‘90s. That was only made worse by file sharing becoming popular as the decade came to a close and edged into the early ‘00s. We now know that vinyl would have an unprecedented resurgence in later years, which has led to collectors desperately seeking out original pressings from the ‘90s. Those rare Creation records pressings that shaped alternative music as we know it today, the rare pressings of iconic grunge records that are white whales for many, and weird and wonderful electronic music are always popular with completists.
Finding original ‘90s pressings is hard for anyone, ourselves included, but it does happen, and we have great stock of some rarities over at eil.com now.

THE ROOTS Illadelph Halflife (1996 US first press 20-track double LP, one of the last of the truly great jazz-rap albums of the nineties, gatefold picture sleeve with album credit inners. The cover features a parental advisory sticker, has no deletion cuts and shows some minor general shelfwear. The vinyl grades VG with some light cosmetic scuffing which does not impact play DGC2-24972).
BJORK Homogenic (Original 1997 UK One Little Indian label 10-track LP pressed on heavyweight vinyl, includes the singles All Is Full Of Love, Bachelorette and Hunter, picture sleeve with lyric inner(which shows a little light foxing). Apart from a small patch of paperloss to the top left corner(probably due to sticker removal) the sleeve is otherwise in Excellent condition as is the vinyl TPLP71)
THE CURE Mixed Up (1990 UK 12-track double LP featuring remixes of classic Cure tunes, housed in a song hype stickered picture sleeve with picture/tracklisting inners. The sleeve shows some light spinewear, whilst the vinyl has just the odd light scuff, not affecting play. A nice one owner copy! FIXLP18).
