While music was more popular during the 90’s than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes almost obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

PORTISHEAD Dummy (Debut 1994 UK first press 10-track LP with etched A-1/B-1 matrices in the run-outs, one of the greatest albums of the nineties, with dark hip-hop inspired loops, British spy thriller samples & gripping songwriting – this influential record still sounds fresh today. Includes the classic singles Numb, Sour Box & Glory Box, complete with the illustrated credits inner & mailing card. A superb one owner copy, the picture sleeve & vinyl are Near Mint with minimal shelfwear & few signs of play. Essential 90s!).
QUEEN Made In Heaven (Rare 1995 UK limited edition 11-track LP pressed on Heavyweight Cream Vinyl with picture labels, featuring a slightly different version to the CD release, complete with the original hype stickered gatefold picture sleeve,glossy lyric inner & three fold-out posters. The inner on this example has a misprint – The title for the song ‘Heaven For Everyone’ is missing & has some of the lyrics printed at the end of the previous song, I Was Born To Love You. The sleeve[VG+] has some minor hairline scuffs from storage & foxing to the back of one poster, there are a couple of very small annotation stickers to the labels and the vinyl is clean & in Excellent condition with few signs of play PCSD167).
BRYAN FERRY Mamouna (Scarce 1994 UK 10-track vinyl LP, including Your Painted Smile, picture sleeve with glossy picture/lyric inner. The sleeve has only minor edge and spine scuffing, whilst the vinyl remains in wonderful condition with just a few paper scuffs. A very nice and rare album V2751).
