ROLLING STONES Beggars Banquet (Rare 1968 UK first press 10-track stereo vinyl LP, on the original dark blue label with silver text & the unboxed Decca logo with no speed indicator, complete with the original Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated gatefold picture sleeve with the ‘Patents Pending’ text in the bottom right corner on the reverse SKL4955)
REEF 93/03 (Rare 2012 UK Limited Edition 12-disc multi-format [9-CD/DVD/LP/Cassette] that spans the first 10 years the initial career of the UK rock band, from their very demo tape through to their previously unreleased Lucky #5 album. As well as featuring CD’s of their studio back catalogue, this stunning set also includes a CD’s of rarities, B-sides, live recordings and demos, along with a DVD of every music video and rare TV footage. If that wasn’t enough, it includes a vinyl LP copy of Lucky #5, a cassette of their original ‘Naked’ demo, a 64-page booklet, and a insert [seperate to the box] with notes from the bands manager, Muff Winwood. This is all housed in a huge 18″x16.5″ embossed box, that remains sealed with a numbered sticker and in mint, unplayed condition. This set has everything you could possibly need and is essential to any Reef collection).
THE FLIES [I’m Not Your] Stepping Stone (Impossibly Rare Original 1966 UK 7″ vinyl single with its intact four-prong centre, also including melodic B-side ‘Talk To Me’. The first of only three releases by the short-lived psych act who embodied the spirit of the age so much by appearing at the 14-Hour Technicolor Dream and opening for Hendrix at The Roundhouse. This fantastic proto-stoner rock cover of the Monkees’ classic [originally recorded by Paul Revere & the Raiders] has gone onto feature in plethora of psychedelic compilations including ‘Chocolate for Your Diabetes, Volume 1’ and ‘The British Psychedelic Trip: 1966 – 1969’. Issued in the Decca company die-cut paper sleeve, the vinyl has just a few light spindle marks and minimal surface scuffs but remains in EX condition for its fifty five plus years! F12533).
