Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Red House Painters, Black Crowes, The Orb and more

The advent of CD’s seemed like the death knell for vinyl during the ‘90s. That was only made worse by file sharing becoming popular as the decade came to a close and edged into the early ‘00s. We now know that vinyl would have an unprecedented resurgence in later years, which has led to collectors desperately seeking out original pressings from the ‘90s. Those rare Creation records pressings that shaped alternative music as we know it today, the rare pressings of iconic grunge records that are white whales for many, and weird and wonderful electronic music are always popular with completists.

Finding original ‘90s pressings is hard for anyone, ourselves included, but it does happen, and we have great stock of some rarities over at eil.com now.

RED HOUSE PAINTERS Red House Painters (Very rare 1993 UK 14-track double vinyl LP on the legendary 4AD label – This self-titled release is also known as ‘Rollercoaster’ due to the sleeve image and features another batch of classic introspective songs subsequently dubbed as ‘slowcore’ by the critics. The single-pocket picture sleeve comes with the original picture inners and shows very little sign of wear – a great copy of an elusive gem! DAD3008).

The Black Crowes The Southern Harmony And Musical Companion vinyl LP album (LP record) Dutch CRWLPTH547944

BLACK CROWES The Southern Harmony And Musical Companion (Rare 1992 Dutch 10-track vinyl LP, the second studio album by American rock band including the hit singles Sting Me & Remedy, housed in a glossy picture sleeve with illustrated lyric inner. The sleeve displays minimal wear and the vinyl shows only very light signs of play, a really nice example of this 90s pressing).

The Orb Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld - EX 2-LP vinyl record set (Double LP Album) UK ORB2LAD711101

THE ORB Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld (1991 UK Big Life 10-track double vinyl LP set, featuring Little Fluffy Clouds, Back Side Of The Moon [!], Perpetual Dawn and the Live Mix Mk 10 of A Huge Ever Growing Pulsating Brain…, glossy single pocket picture sleeve with picture credits inners.
