The advent of CD’s seemed like the death knell for vinyl during the ‘90s. That was only made worse by file sharing becoming popular as the decade came to a close and edged into the early ‘00s. We now know that vinyl would have an unprecedented resurgence in later years, which has led to collectors desperately seeking out original pressings from the ‘90s. Those rare Creation records pressings that shaped alternative music as we know it today, the rare pressings of iconic grunge records that are white whales for many, and weird and wonderful electronic music are always popular with completists.

STRANGE CARGO Hinterland (Rare 1995 UK 12-track double LP by electronic instrumentalist William Orbit, under the alias Strange Cargo and the fourth in a series of similarly themed albums. Housed in a wide-spined single pocket picture sleeve. Apart from a tiny nick in the spine, this copy is in near as new condition).
