If you were still buying vinyl in the ‘90s, you probably didn’t think that one day albums by Oasis, My Bloody Valentine, Ride, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, and countless others would be worth far more than you paid for them. While a lot of iconic albums from that time have seen high quality reissues, there’s no substitute for finding original pressings from the era. It’s not that sort of things that comes through doors every day here at eil.com, and when they do, they don’t stay for long.
The three titles below are just a taste of the ‘90s rarities we have in stock, and you can find the full catalogue at eil.com.
SUNDAYS Blind (Original 1992 UK 11-track vinyl LP, glossy picture sleeve and lyric inner. The sleeve shows a little wear from storage and the vinyl has just the odd light scuff/hairline to indicate play PCSD121).
U2 Achtung Baby (1991 UK first press 12-track LP, complete with the original illustrated credits inner & lyric insert, withdrawn & uncensored picture sleeve featuring a very obviously male naked figure of Mr Clayton on the back. This example remains in its opened vintage price stickered shrinkwrap and the vinyl shows little sign of play U28).
STONE ROSES The Complete Stone Roses (Rare 1995 UK Silvertone 21-track double LP compilation, featuring Fools Gold, Elephant Stone, Sally Cinnamon & I Wanna Be Adored, thick card single-pocket picture sleeve with illustrated inners. The sleeve has just a little minor edgewear, whilst the vinyl shows few signs of play with just a couple of faint paper scuffs or hairlines from where the discs were taken out of their inners on occasion – a top copy! ORELP535).
