BOB DOWNES Electric City (Rare and in demand British Progressive Jazz-Rock 1970 UK 11-track LP on the highly collectable Vertigo ‘swirl’ label, starring Clem Cattini, Ian Carr, Harry Beckett, Chris Spedding, Ray Russell, Kenny Wheelerand more.The gatefold picture sleeve is strictly graded G+/VG as there is a sticker tear to the front and scuffing/wear to the edges, however, all is not lost as the vinyl on this copy is in VG condition with some light hairlines/scuffs having no great affect on play – mint examples of this hard-to-find album reguarly fetch over £500+, this is your chance to own a more than acceptable play copy at a lower price. Highly recommended).

 

Bill Evans (Piano) Turn Out The Stars 6-CD album set US BLV6CTU736908

BILL EVANS Turn Out The Stars (1996 US 59-track 6-CD limited edition, numbered (5537) boxset – The performances on these six CDs – which feature newly written originals as well as brilliant interpretations of the standards that Evans loved – were recorded on the evenings of June 4, 5, 6 and 8, 1980 [only months before pianist Bill Evans’ untimely death on September 15th 1980, at the age of 51]. Evans intended to release a double LP culled form these sessions, and he supervised the initial mixing and editing of the tapes. It would take more than fifteen years before this material would become available, in an exhaustive, chronologically sequenced six-CD form, contains the original boxset packaging and a 40-page exstensive illustrated booklet plus each disc housed in it’s own jewel case. The boxset shows one small surface sciuff line on the backcover and the booklet and discs show very little wear – a fantastic copy).
