GRAVY TRAIN Gravy Train (Very rare debut 1970 first UK issue 6-track LP on the Vertigo large ‘swirl’ label, housed in a striking Hipgnosis-designed fully textured gatefold sleeve with die-cut ‘swirl’ inner dated ‘1070’. One of the more tricky UK swirls to track down, we’ve simply never managed to find one of this standard before! The sleeve has just a faint touch of foxing and the lightest hint of ringwear to the reverse, with minimal edgewear and all the colours bright, leaving it a fantastic Excellent. The vinyl appears nigh on Near Mint with just a solitary faint hairline, most likely due to the record being removed from the sleeve and so little spindle wear it probably has only been played once or twice. A fantastic copy, the like of which we most probably will never see again).
HORSE Horse – 1st (Mega Rare 1970 UK first press 10-track LP on an RCA orange label, a tasty slice of occult influenced Progressive Hard Rock, ahead of its time. This was a one off album but the group members had ties to Andromeda, Saturnalia,Atomic Rooster & even Spinal Tap much later [Mick Shrimpton on drums!]. The front laminated picture sleeve was designed by the Satanic Folk group Comus & the band look mean-as on the back. Please see more details below on condition SF8109).
BUDGIE Never Turn Your Back On A Friend (Rare 1973 UK 7-track vinyl LP from the legendary power trio on the black & silver MCA label, opening with one of their best known tracks, ‘Breadfan’, superb Roger Dean designed gatefold picture sleeve. This collector’s copy has been signed on the front by Burke Shelly, Tony Bourge and the late Peter Boot in ball point pen. Aside from a sticker tear to the front, the sleeve shows little wear and the vinyl is Near Mint. A great collectable of an already scarce release! MDKS8010).
