While music was more popular during the 90’s than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes almost obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.
We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock and be sure to keep an eye on the latest arrivals at eil.com.
BRUCE DICKINSON Balls To Picasso (Rare original 1994 UK 10-track vinyl LP, the second solo album from the Iron Maiden vocalist, housed in a glossy gatefold picture sleeve with lyrics across the inner spread. The sleeve displays some light wear mostly to the edges, whilst the vinyl remains in a ‘near as new’ condition with minimal signs of play. A fantastic example of this now hard to find 90s vinyl release EMD1057).
NIRVANA Bleach (Very rare 1991 US limited edition Sub Pop 11-track MARBLED GREEN [with flecks of white] vinyl LP housed in picture sleeve. The sleeve has some light edge and spine wear, whilst the vinyl is near as new. A hard to find colour variant! SP34).
PAUL MCCARTNEY Tripping The Live Fantastic Highlights! (Rare Official 1991 Czech limited edition 12-track GREEN VINYL LP, manufactured under licence by Globus, picture sleeve).
