OLIVER NELSON More Blues And The Abstract Truth (1972 US issue of the 1964 8-track stereo LP, on black & red bordered Impulse label with ‘Van Gelder’ machine stamped in the run-out. Also stars Thad Jones or Danny Moore, Ben Webster or Phil Bodner, Phil Woods, Pepper Adams, Roger Kellaway, Richard Davis & Grady Tate, housed in a heavy duty front laminated & internally pasted gatefold sleeve. The sleeve has just some very minor shelfwear, whilstthe vinyl is Excellent with very few signsof play A-75).
FATS NAVARRO The Fabulous Fats Navarro Volume 1 (Rare 1956 US first issue 11-track mono LP on a ‘deep groove’ Blue Note label with 767 Lexington Ave. address both sides & ‘RVG’ etched into the run off area along with the all important ‘ear’ marking both sides. Comes complete with the original Reid Miles designed pasted picture sleeve with UK tax import stickers on the back. Unfortunately the sleeve has split across all three closed edges. We have left it ‘as is’ to allow forfuture restoration, as the front & back panels remain in nice condition with all print legible & no writing [the paper along the spine is no longer]. The heavyweight vinyl grades EX/EX- with a nice sheen both sides & a few minor spindle marks including the odd paper hairline not upsetting play BLP1531).
IF If (Rare 1970 UK 7-track LP on the pink with white ‘i’ Island label, great silvered picture sleeve. Legendary early prog jazz album which featured the unmistakable talent of saxophonist Dick Morrissey. The sleeve does show some wear with some edgewear and a few light creases & small nick to the open edge but remains fully intact with all text clearly legible. The vinyl on the other shows only light signs of play. A nice copy at a great price! ILPS9129).
