Bruce Springsteen, Sharon Van Etten, Fountains of Wayne and SZA were among the names who took part in the Jersey 4 Jersey benefit livestream show on April 22.
Springsteen opened the show with his wife, Patti Scialfa, performing a rendition of Land of Hope and Dreams. They returned later in the broadcast with a cover of Tom Waits’ Jersey Girl.
Fountains of Wayne also performed their first live appearance for 7 years, and paid tribute to their late singer, Adam Schlesinger who passed away earlier this month due to complication from COVID-19. They were joined by Sharon Van Etten for a run through their track, Hackensack.
Halsey performed a version of Finally//Beautiful for the livestream, and SZA played a rendition of 20 Something from her home.
The event was put together to raise money for the New Jersey Pandemic Relief fund, which will give aid to vulnerable parts of New Jersey. during the COVID-19 pandemic.
