JONI MITCHELL Blue (1972 issue of the 1971 UK 10-track LP on the tan steamboat label. Intimate, soul-searching & bittersweet, this is a seminal singer-songwriter album that should not be missing in any music lover’s collection, textured gatefold picture sleeve [p1972] with the lyrics printed inside. The sleeve shows some light shelfwear with a little surface scuffing & the vinyl is Excellent with a handful of very light signs of play – solid EX copy of this timeless classic, recommended! K44128).
ARETHA FRANKLIN Aretha’s Gold (1968 UK 1st issue plum & orange Atlantic label stereo 14-track compilation LP, picture sleeve. The sleeve shows a little discolouration where the gold effect sleeve has darkened a little towards the edges and otherwise shows only minimal shelfwear with a little edge rubbing and a few tiny foxing spots on the otherwise wear free reverse cover [fantastic in-studio black & white photos on the back cover are a lovely aspect!]. The vinyl itself in in superb shape remaining near ‘as new’ in barely played condition – great copy some 50+ years on of classic cuts by the undisputed Queen of Altlantic soul).
JOHN LENNON Shaved Fish (1975 Greek Apple label 12-track vinyl compilation LP, including Give Peace A Chance, Imagine, Happy Xmas [War Is Over] and the groove-laden Cold Turkey, rare gatefold import stickered picture sleeve with lyrics on thespread. The sleeve grading VG is showing a fair bit of foxing through age to the inner spread and reverse with a small bit of tape secure to the back and just a little evidence of storage to the front. The vinyl however is quite remarkably only displaying one or two very light hairlines remaining barely played, a nice copy particuarly the disc of this very seldom seen variant, one for the collectors).
