The Manchester band have taken steps to ensure the show will be as green as possible, using traceable sustainably sourced HVO fuel from Europe to power the show. This will reduce the carbon footprint of the show by around 90%. It will also be the first time that an event at Finsbury Park will be entirely paperless, and promoters Festival Republic will plant 1,975 trees throughout the surrounding boroughs of Haringey, Hackney and Islington in partnership with Trees for Cities.
The event will take place on July 11 across two stages, with other confirmed artists including Charlie XCX, Pale Waves, Phoebe Bridgers, Clairo and Beabadoobee. Tickets go on sale January 31 at 9:30, and can be purchased from Ticketmaster.
The 1975 are due to release their fourth album, Notes On Conditional Form, on April 24th and is available to pre-order now.
