For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker’s stage invasion during Michael Jackson’s performance at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS Blood Sugar Sex Magik (Original 1991 UK issue 17-track double LP pressed in Germany for the whole of Europe, with the original ‘WMME Alsdorf’ machine stamped matrices, the fifth studio album from the American funky rock group produced by Rick Rubin. Includes the classics Suck My Kiss, Give It Away & Under The Bridge, single pocket picture sleeve with picture/lyric inners. The sleeve is Excellent with minimal corner wear & the vinyl appears Near Mint with few signs of play WX441).

JANE’S ADDICTION Ritual De Lo Habitual (Original 1990 UK 9-track LP manufactured in Germany for the European market, housed in a glossy picture sleeve with picture/lyric inner. The sleeve appears Near Mint with very little shelf wear & the vinyl is near ‘as new’ WX306).

THE VERVE Urban Hymns (Original 1997 UK 13-track double vinyl LP with band picture labels, including the hit singles Bitter Sweet Symphony, Sonnet, The Drugs Don’t Work & Lucky Man. The single-pocket picture sleeve comes with the picture inners and the two vinyl discs appear barely played! HUTLP45).
