JOHN COLTRANE Golden Album (Limited Edition 1967 Japanese-only 4-track stereo LP compilation, housed in a unique silk laminated gatefold sleeve with obi-strip. The cover shows very little of its age (a spot of mild foxing inside & a tiny 1cm split in the obi] & the vinyl is near mint. This collector’s edition comes complete with a one-sided promotional blue 7″ flexi-disc (P-91) with custom ‘Not For Sale’ label print. The flexi-disc contains an interview recorded onJuly 18, 1966 at Tokyo Prince Hotel for TBS Television Inc, & is housed in a unique flipback picture sleeve. Both the sleeve & flexi appear near mint SR-3007).

HANK MOBLEY Poppin’ (Rare limited 1980 Japanese-only 5-track stereo vinyl LP, the first in King Records’ ‘World First Appearance’ series [later issued as GXK-8163], containing a previously unreleased session recording from 20/10/57 that was shelved by Blue Note, but sounded just as good as anything Alfred Lion put out at the time, starring Art Farmer, Pepper Adams, Sonny Clark, Paul Chambers & Philly Joe Jones. Unique picture sleeve complete with Japanese insert and obi-strip. The vinyl is immaculate – one of the rarest title in the series! GXF-3066).

PAUL GONSALVES QUARTET Boom-Jackie-Boom-Chick (2006 Japanese limited edition issue of the super limited 1964 8-track mono LP pressed on 200gram vinyl, replicating the original Vocalion label design, laminated flipback sleeve and album notes down to a tee. You can always rely on attention to detail with the Japanese and this is a beautifully remastered edition at a fraction of the cost of an original. The sound quality is glorious and worth it alone for the opening title track, which is an absolute knockout! Complete with Japanese text insert and obi-strip. Now scarce and in demand itself, both sleeve and vinyl are in near mint condition UCJU-9058)
