Super rare Queen Proof Artwork Sheets For The 3″ CD Single Series 1988 – Watch The Video

Our buyers recently acquired a very small batch of hand rendered sleeve artwork for the series of 3″ CD singles that were issued in 1988.

Each piece is set out with a tracing paper overlay showing the sleeve artwork and hand annotations detailing colour specifications, borders and backgrounds, over a flat plan layout of the sleeve with the reverse tracklisting and spine text.

Publishing credits differ to the final sleeve [omission of Queen Productions Ltd. credit] and annotations to the art show how they were to be revised, making these pieces truly ‘a work in progress’ at the time.

The pieces are mounted on to a thick card base complete with the original Artful Dodgers stickered grey paper front.

Each piece is unique and could be framed and displayed to best effect, absolutely one for the Queen archivist.

  • Queen - Live Poster - French - poster - £50.00, $63.50, €57.00 (New Item) (arrived 22-Jul-2019 16:00)

QUEEN Live Poster (1977 French full colour 34½" x 24" poster showing the band onstage during their News Of The World period, with all the members looking suitably majestic in their rock pomp. This item has been stored rolled and despite pin-holes in the corners and a couple of corner creases, shows very little sign of its forty plus years. A superb vintage item that would look great framed for the Queen den!)

  • Queen - A Kind Of Magic Tour Poster - French - poster - Promo - £195.00, $247.65, €222.30 (New Item) (arrived 22-Jul-2019 12:51)

QUEEN A Kind Of Magic Tour Poster (Very rare 1986 'Massive 46" x 62½" Billboard' poster for the gig held on the 14th June 1986 for the French date of the tour with support from Marillion and Level 42! Featuring band logos and an advert strip highlighting the Christopher Lambert/Sean connery film Highlander from the same year which famously featured the music from The A Kind Of Magic album. Only a small number of these posters were made and displayed around the city with the majority destroyed afterwards, but this one survived with only minor wear; there is a 2" tear to the middle of the right side [with no paper loss] and a pin-hole in each corner & light creasing here or there along the edges. The colours are still clear & vibrant making this an ideal candidate for framing to then dominate a wall and become a sure-fire conversation piece!)
