THE OSCAR PETERSON TRIO Night Train (Sealed 2009 US limited edition audiophile issue of the classic 1963 11-track stereo album, expertly remastered by Bernie Grundman & pressed on high quality 180gram Vinyl by the German Pallas Group for the American market & released as a 2-LP 45rpm set. This collector’s item is billed as the ‘Ultimate Edition’ & we certainly agree! Comes housed in a deluxe gatefold picture sleeve which is number stamped in gold on the back, still sealed from new in the custom stickered tearbag. The vinyl discs are Mint & unplayed ORG029).
THELONIOUS MONK The Complete Riverside Recordings (Super rare limited edition 1986 US 22-LP vinyl set, representing every recorded note from 1955-61 for Riverside, running chronologically & including exclusive previously-unheard recordings. A booklet provides ‘sessionography’ notes & helpful annotations by Monk’s producer during this era, Orrin Keepnew. Comes housed in a deluxe 12″ square slipcase box with fancy embossed titles & gold lettering, this is a tome of sheer genius. The packaging & the vinyl discs are Near Mint R-022).
CHRIS BARBER’S JAZZ BAND Echoes Of Ellington (Rare Limited Edition 1993 German audiophile 19-track 3-LP box set, pressed on 180gram Vinyl & half-speed mastered from the original analog tapes, recorded in concert at the St. Ivo Centre inSt. Ives, Huntingdon on the 3rd of June, 1976, with technical information enclosed. Comes housed in a special 12″ title box which is hand numbered out of 3000 copies. This collector’s set is still in partial shrinkwrap & remains unopened & unplayed LELP116/7/8).
