Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Blur, Pavement, Mogwai and more

For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker’s stage invasion during Michael Jackson’s performance at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock, and be sure to keep an eye on our latest arrivals.

Blur – Modern Life Is Rubbish: Rare 1993 UK 14-track vinyl LP the with ‘A01/B01’ matrices, their second album including the singles For Tomorow, Chemical World and Sunday Sunday. The glossy picture sleeve and lyric inner show just a little shelfwear to the edges, while the vinyl appears in excellent condition with only light signs of play

Pavement – Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain: Scarce 1994 UK limited edition 11-track vinyl LP, their second studio album featuring the singles Cut Your Hair, Gold Soundz & Range Life and also comes complete with the bonus vinyl 7″ including Haunt You Down and Jam Kids. The custom-stickered glossy picture sleeve comes complete with the picture / credit inner and fold-out Big Cat catalogue insert, while both vinyl discs appear in excellent condition with only light signs of play

Mogwai -Ten Rapid: 1997 UK Jetset 9-track vinyl LP featuring ‘collected recordings’ from 1996-1997, includes Summer, New Paths To Helicon Part 2, Angels Vs Aliens, I Am Not Batman and Tuner, picture sleeve.
