Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Kristin Hersh, Cocteau Twins, Smashing Pumpkins and more

For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker’s stage invasion during Michael Jackson’s performance at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock, and be sure to keep an eye on our latest arrivals.

Kristin Hersh – Hips And Makers: Rare 1994 UK 15-track LP with Michael Stipe guesting on vocals on ‘Your Ghost’, complete with illustrated lyric inner, textured picture sleeve. The sleeve shows just a little edge scuffing and ringwear, whilst the vinyl remains in excellent condition with few signs of play

Cocteau Twins – Heaven Or Las Vegas: 1990 UK 4AD label 10-track vinyl LP including Iceblink Luck, housed in a glossy picture sleeve with the original picture inner. The picture sleeve shows just a little overall wear, whilst the vinyl shows light paper scuffs & cosmetic wear leaving it Excellent

Smashing Pumpkins – Pisces Iscariot: Ultra rare limited edition 1994 US 14-track LP pressed on clear YELLOW vinyl with exclusive GOLD vinyl bonus 7″ of Not Worth Asking & Honey Spider. A superb item that was limited to just 2000 copies & individually hand numbered on the reverse of the picture sleeve.
