From NME:
An Amy Winehouse hologram production is in the works, with a live tour being pencilled in for next year.
The singer, who passed away in 2011 at the age of 27, will be celebrated in this new “immersive” venture, which is being spearheaded by BASE Hologram. It also has the backing of The Amy Winehouse Foundation and the blessing of the Winehouse estate.
The show will “utilise new state-of-the-art proprietary technology”, with the hologram being backed by a live band, singers “and theatrical stagecraft”, according to a press release. The production is set to begin a world tour in late 2019.
“This is a dream for us,” Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, said in a statement. “To see her perform again is something special that really can’t be put into words. Our daughter’s music touched the lives of millions of people and it means everything that her legacy will continue in this innovative and groundbreaking way.”
