Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including U2, Bluetones, Def Leppard and more

For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker’s stage invasion during Michael Jackson’s performance at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock, and be sure to keep an eye on our latest arrivals

U2 – Achtung Baby: 1991 UK 12-track LP, the seventh studio album including The Fly & Mysterious Ways, housed in the uncensored sleeve with naked Adam Clayton image on the back, with illustrated credits inner & lyric insert. The sleeve shows some light nicks along the edge & a hairline split to a side of the inner sleeve, whilst the vinyl is Excellent with a few light signs of play

The Bluetones – Expecting To Fly: Original 1995 UK 11-track vinyl LP, their classic debut album including the singles Bluetonic, Slight Return and Cut Some Rug. The custom title-stickered picture sleeve has a small seam split to the top edge but comes complete with the album credits inner and illustrated picture insert, whilst the vinyl appears in marvellous near ‘as new’ condition.

Def Leppard – Vault – Greatest Hits 1980-1995: Rare 1995 UK 16-track double vinyl LP, the first greatest hits album and the second compilation album by the English hard rock band, including Lets Get Rocked, Animal, Rocket & Hysteria, housed within a glossy single pocket picture sleeve complete with the original glossy card picture inners. The sleeve on this copy displays just a slight corner crease and, apart from a very light paper scuff on side one, the vinyl looks barely played. A wonderful near mint example
