New compilation to feature unreleased recordings by Bruce Springsteen and Tom Morello

A new compilation marking the 21st anniversary of important protest label, Appleseed Records, is due to feature previously unreleased recordings by Bruce Springsteen, Tom Morello, and a host of other artists.

The 57-track compilation, Appleseed’s 21st Anniversary: Roots and Branches, will include Springsteen putting his spin on Pete Seeger’s We Will Overcome, and If I Had a Hammer (The Hammer Song), while Tom Morello has provided a version of AC/DC’s Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.

It is due for release on October 19, and will also include previously released songs and archival recordings from Bonnie Raitt, Joan Baez, Jackson Browne and more.
