Browse hundreds of singles Moby used early in his DJing career, as well as signed copies of his own releases
After partnering with Reverb to sell a portion of his synth collection for charity in April, noted techno, pop, and electronica musician Moby is back to do the same with his entire record collection right here on Reverb LP. The Official Moby Reverb LP Shop will launch this Thursday, June 14, with 100 percent of Moby’s proceeds going to benefit the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.
Moby’s shop is robust, featuring over 1,000 records, including Moby’s personal copies of just about every record he’s ever made throughout his extensive career. Fans can snag two first pressings of Play, test pressings and signed gatefold reissues of Play and _18_, promo recordings of “Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad” and “That’s When I Reach For My Revolver,” multiple sealed copies of Innocents and More Fast Songs About The Apocalypse, and more.
Moby’s collection also features hundreds of ‘80s and ‘90s techno, house, and hip-hop 12-inch singles that he used in his early DJing years. Many of the records still feature Moby’s handwritten marks from sets he played at legendary underground NYC clubs like Mars and N.A.S.A. night at the Shelter.
“These are all the records that I bought and loved and played and carried all around the world,” Moby told us, thumbing through the singles. “I would rather you have them than me, because if you have them, you’ll play them, you’ll love them, and the money will go to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. So everybody wins. Well, except me, because now I don’t have any records.”
