Alternative rock is a pretty broad term to use, but it seems more all-encompassing than using hardcore or post-hardcore when describing some of our latest arrivals here. We certainly wouldn’t want to give them the dreaded ’emo’ tag, that’s for sure.
After an influx of rare and collectable alternative rock, spanning ’90s classics right through to the current wave of artists doing the rounds, here are a few highlights from the world of alternative rock we have in stock now. You can search for your favourite artists over in our store.
Circa Survive – Juturna: 2016 US 12-track vinyl LP reissue, with gatefold picture sleeve and fold out insert, pressed on 180gram black vinyl, limited to 2000 copies. Originally released in 2005, this is th debut album from the melodic post-hardcore band, featuring Anthony Green of Saosin, along with members of This Day Forward and Taken. The vinyl does show some light cosmetic marks, but remains in excellent condition, and the sleeve is in spectacular, near ‘as new’ condition £20
Jawbreaker – Bivouac: 1992 US original 9-track LP, the vital second album from the literate, US emo/post-hardcore legends, including the anthemic Chesterfield King. The record carries all three catalogue numbers for international release, with textured picture sleeve & lyric insert. The sleeve shows minimal wear & the vinyl is Excellent, despite a couple of light paper scuffs not affecting play £35
Pianos Become The Teeth – Old Pride: 2010 US 8-track vinyl LP, with picture sleeve and 36″ x 24″ fold out insert, pressed on green and white mix coloured vinyl limited to just 350 copies. Debut album from the Baltimore post-hardcore band, showcasing them at their most abrasive and including Filial, Pensive and Cripples Can’t Shiver. The sleeve shows some light wear from storage, yet the vinyl remains in spectacular, near ‘as new’ condition £20</b
