Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Ride, The Cardigans, Hole and more

For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker’s stage invasion during Michael Jackson’s performance at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock, and be sure to keep an eye on our latest arrivals.

Ride – Nowhere: 1990 UK Creation 8-track vinyl LP, including Kaleidoscope & Paralysed, embossed & textured picture sleeve with illustrated credits inner & limited 11½” x 11½” band picture insert. The sleeve shows just a little light foxing, whilst the vinyl has just the odd light sign of play £65

The Cardigans – Life: Rare 1995 UK 13-track vinyl LP, the second studio album from the Swedish rock band including Carnival, Hey! Get Out of My Way, Rise And Shine and Sick And Tired, along with their version of the classic Black Sabbath song Sabbath Bloody Sabbath; glossy picture sleeve. The sleeve displays minimal wear and the vinyl looks barely played, a fantastic example! £85

Hole – Live Through This: Rare 1994 German limited edition of 3000 WHITE VINYL 12-track LP, includes Violet, Doll Parts and Rock Star, housed in a hype stickered picture sleeve. The sleeve has only minor edgewear and the vinyl is near mint £125
